LIGHT IN THE EAST
LICHT IM OSTEN (LIGHT IN THE EAST) – founded in 1920, works with eleven partner organizations in Russia, Eastern-Europe and Central-Asia and is an independent non-profit-organization, which is funded only by donations.
- The headquarters in Korntal, close to Stuttgart/Germany, distributes Bibles and Christian literature in thirty languages to different peoples and people groups in these countries.
- Different magazines for adults and for children in the languages Russian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Armenian, Kazakh and Kirghiz are being distributed.
- Besides that, LICHT IM OSTEN produces Christian radio programs and spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ on modern media as audiobooks, DVDs and websites.
- Our organization also provides humanitarian aid, programs of social aid and ethical instruction in public schools from a Christian point of view.
- Furthermore, sponsorships for local missionaries are mediated and sponsorships of Christian children camps are provided.
- More than 200t of humanitarian aid and literature is being transported from Korntal into the FSU and other countries in Eastern-Europe every year.
